All is calm

Late to bed, tried to unwind but couldn't get off to sleep.....woke at 7.30, up at 8.30 out the door by 10....lots to do again!

Another collection at M&S followed by another trip over to the hospital to drop off hubs razor charger amongst other bits, as his stay has been extended until probably Monday.

He is doing ok, just need the treatment to kick in to get him off the oxygen entirely, so he can come home.

I looked out the Maggies Centre, a lady I got talking to on Monday told me about it. Its a national charity, they have centres in or close to all the major cancer hospitals in the UK, and also in Hong Kong & Barcelona apparently.

Todays blip was taken as I approached the Centre.......a warm welcome awaited, in a lovely wide open airy space, with quiet corners, comfy chairs, a cuppa of something, a chat with someone if you want to, or just time to sit and think, be quiet, for patients and their loved ones.

I spent an hour there, hub face timed me whilst I was sipping my coffee, as I was literally across the road from him, although couldnt see him, so I showed him around via the camera. We agreed it would be a nice place for us to visit together when he has his outpatient appointments in the future.

I drove back, via the market to pick up some meat for the freezer, then called at daughters to collect the shopping she had picked up for us.......we ended up talking for best part of an hour, eventually got home at 4.30pm.

Two packages had been delivered, plus I had the meat and shopping to put away......I realised I was starving and hadnt had any lunch, just a toasted teacake this morning.
I did treat myself to some spicy chicken stir fry from the butchers, so had that with noodles..... no surprise, really enjoyed it !

After dinner I called sis in law to update her on things, then caught up on other messages and texts and now intend to relax for a couple of hours before an early night.
