Cross Fell

We were early shopping this morning and, on our way to Penrith, it was interesting watching the sun coming through the clouds. On our return we took the back road and saw Cross Fell with snow on the higher slopes and sun on the lower hillside. Cross Fell is the highest mountain in the Pennines and there is usually snow in the winter. It is very rare actually, at any time of year, to see the top not covered in cloud.

I have been stitching - I have added the result to yesterday's blip - for obvious reasons. .
