S... in the city!

The forecast was for a very hot day in Brisbane so we headed into the city to South Bank where there is a city beach. A cooling swim was very welcome looking out over the river and the CBD beyond. It seemed to be mostly tourists sunbathing and enjoying the pool.
A yummy thai lunch in the shade then over to the city for coffee on Queen Street- one of the main shopping streets in the city centre. So many characters and fashion 'victims' it is most amusing to sit and watch the flow of passers by.
My daughter and her fiancé are glad it's Friday- hoping for another good day to-morrow, we are visiting their wedding venue (for next year) then going for a lovely lunch. Special day for me (no I'm not telling you which!) so it's lovely to spend it with my family.
