We arrived home a little before 6:30am, a cup of coffee and then bed - only for five or so hours in order to return to normal as quickly as possible.
We lit the fire at lunch time and organised some soup and a sandwich each.
I sat and started on my Culloden Book Of The Battlefield my thoughts drifting back to yesterday, two ‘Bucket List’ items in one day. We covered Culloden in yesterday’s Blip but the Commando Memorial is somewhere special.

The Royal Marines are part of the Royal Navy, the nations Sea Soldiers and I spent a good deal of my career working alongside them, I probably have as many ex ‘Royals’ amongst my closest friends as I do ex ‘Jacks’.
What a place, the views were breathtaking, the memorial and Remembrance Garden very moving.

I’m glad I have now seen it in person.
