Bonk! (Day 2031)

Today has been a good day.
I had a trip out to Rendall to have a look at a leak, which necessitated a trip to town to collect a replacement for the valve which was dripping. Back out to Rendall to change it and sort out a couple of other issues with the pipework, then home for lunch.
With my beautiful wife on a 24 hour shift at work, woofer wandering duties fell to me, and (despite the cold wind) I fairly enjoyed wandering at Lyde. The woofers were in high spirits chasing each other around and ragging each other's necks. Sigyn resorted to punching Talisker in the face.
Out to Stromness later to deal with a couple of small jobs, before heading to the shed and getting the van washed as darkness fell. HV zoomed straight to the shed after work, and with A there too, there was a chance for a catch-up and a bit of a laugh.
Driving home in the dark I came far too close to running over a cyclist who had no lights, no reflectors and was wearing all black clothing. I stopped to suggest he got some lights, and as it started to rain heavily and he told me he was heading for Kirkwall I decided to give him a lift. Better safe than sorry.
