Walk With Me
Ok, a semi-staged shot, but not bad. These are the feet and paws of my walking partners. We stumble around our farm field in the darkness in the morning, and as an evening closer to the day in the evening. We wake up in the chill of the dark morning, as many of my co-workers still bag zzzzzzzzzzs, but we see the stars in the winter sky, the slivers of moons, the full moons, the coyotes howling, Kirby running black in the dark morning. Every day! And at night, we talk over the day's activities, watch the gray clouds slide above, listen to geese at dusk, check out the trees at the top of the hill. The two best times of the day: the morning walk at 5:00 a.m., and the evening walk about 5:00 p.m. It's the best with these walking partners.
I heard this great song today, sung then by Norah Jones, but I'm not a Norah Jones fan, so I chose the original, even in his smoker's vocals. This seemed to go with the idea of all the walking that we do. I'm always looking for the right song to go with the soundtrack of our lives. Here is Tom Waits, The Long Way Home
You know I love you baby
More than the whole wide world
You are my woman
I know you are my pearl
Let's go out past the party lights
Where we can finally be alone
Come with me and we can take the long way home
Come with me, together we can take the long way home
Come with me, together we can take the long way home
