Blenheim Palace

We had a wonderful day out today and visited Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, with a magnificent building and astonishing grounds. We decided not to see around the rooms with the young ones but have saved that for another day. Instead we enjoyed the grounds where there was a maze, a small train to take you from one place to another in the vast grounds and a fascinating butterfly house. In the latter we saw the nursery where numerous colourful chrysalis were hanging, plump and almost ready to reveal the beautiful butterfly within. If you haven't visited the Palace then it is a great day out and thoroughly recommended. We simply scratched the surface today and loved it.
