Female Goosander

Another glorious day but far too chilly for me to be tempted out for dawn.

Wearing plenty of layers I went back to Stover again. 
Today the main lake was virtually covered in ice and I couldn't see much apart from a large flock of black headed gulls. 

Lots of robins were begging for food and I felt guilty not to have any. Plenty of other visitors were better prepared and were rewarded by the birds taking titbits from their hands.

I couldn't see the Little Grebes today but this female Goosander made a welcome appearance
