I went to Stover today for the first time in a while.
It was late morning by the time I got there but parts of the lake were still frozen. It was certainly very cold so I didn't stay long.
A brisk walk around the lake and I noticed a pair of Little Grebe (extra). They were towards the far side of the lake and, because they are so little , I didn't think they would be my blip today.
However, one of them did venture closer to me and while it is still small in the uncropped frame, I love the effect my lens has picked up (again)on the water. You really do need to look at this large
Little Grebe aren't regular visitors to Stover so their appearance today had to be my journal entry
