Life's never boring

Back home today after a few days with my lovely mum, in time to attend a meeting at my local FE college where I'm a member of the Board of Governors.

Today's shot is of the atrium at the college, an amazing space in the middle of the newly refurbished college, the output of an investment of some £23 million pounds, and such a contrast to the tired 60s building it replaced. I find it difficult to reconcile the Scottish Government's welcome investment in the building with its savage cuts to the college's ongoing running costs over the last few years while still expecting us to maintain student numbers. It's a challenging time to be a board member but then I've always relished a challenge!
