A wild and windswept Viking, if ever I saw one. I have been taking pictures of the Jarl squad for the programme, and rather like the way this one turned out. It will not be publishable until next week, though, as the detail of the Jarl squad is a secret until the day itself.

Kristian is an Orcadian, who has ventured to Shetland to take part in his first ever Up Helly Aa. He certainly looks the part - apparently he didn't even have to grow the hair and beard, as he already had them.
