Winter Trees

H and I walked through Sheringham Park woods today. It was cold, but felt ok as there was no wind. I also took a photo of Weybourne station as in my Extra. This afternoon I was cutting offcuts of carpet to put under exercise equipment etc and put up some lights and a lit wreath outside.

All the complicated details
of the attiring and
the disattiring are completed!
A liquid moon
moves gently among
the long branches.
Thus having prepared their buds
against a sure winter
the wise trees
stand sleeping in the cold.

Day 267 / Day 6 of the 3 Tiers v2 (for my record only)
UK deaths up 189 to 61,434 (revised basis), with 14,718 new cases, 14,556 patients in hospital and 1,274 on ventilation (Govt summary is wrong again). A poll by Sky suggests there are still 1 in 5 people who would refuse the vaccine. Worryingly 11% said they would stop social distancing after being vaccinated. Interestingly 54% said it would be acceptable to limit air travel to those who've been vaccinated. Police broke up a house party in Nottingham (Tier 3) with 100-150 attending, the 20 year old organiser faces a £10k fine and some attending were issued with £200 fixed penalty notices. Well done Kingfisher (B&Q & Screwfix) for also saying they'll repay their coronavirus business rates relief - still waiting for Waitrose to say they'll do it too. The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge are conducting a national tour by Royal Train to thank people for their efforts during the pandemic.
