Cecil's Old Mill

This afternoon we shopped local at Cecil's Country Store and Cecil's Mill. Both shops are so unusual. They showcase some of the best talents in St. Mary's County. The furniture in Cecil's Mill is very imaginative. The artist combines machines with wood and glass to create tables, lamps, and so much more. Our grandson was especially captivated with a typewriter on display. We found some cute ornaments made with oyster shells and sea glass that we bought for gifts.
The old mill was actually in operation today. We watched the big old saw cutting wood. 
There were some very fun Christmas displays outside the store, including a crab pot Christmas tree (extra.)
