Look! - Colour!
That came as a surprise after all the rain we have had today - and which started again when I grabbed the camera and ran out to get this very brief flash of colour.
I was woken at 1.30am with an absolutely cracking thunder storm - and the type of rain that was mentioned in The Old Testament when talking about The Ark. The rain continued on and off (more on than off) all day.
SWMBO has been in bed for most of the day (as expected and predicted) and I didn't even unlock the door until nearly 4pm (when I went out to finish the spinning tops that had done everything to defeat me yesterday.
What I did do was try drying some flowers in the microwave and photograph them... not as successfully as I had hoped for.
However, three of the flowers were from the Christmas cactus and after photographing them I thought that they looked like weird dancers, so I spent some time putting together a fun picture which I was going to use as my lead Blip shot today. Unfortunately, because I used an 'empty layer' as the base and the flower pictures as the top layer, Blip has taken the date from one of the sky shots I used as the background and told me I can't use it because I already have an entry for that date. Grrrrrrrr. Lesson learnt.
If you want to see what should have been the headliner (The Exuberant Sand Dancers) it (and some of the other shots) - it is Here
