Tendered to bewildered
One of my favourite fishing villages to photograph is Whithorn along the Isle of Whithorn in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
In 2000, seven crewmen lost their lives when their vessel, the Solway Harvester capsized. A scallop dredger, the investigation found that there were maintenance issues and the flood alarm did not work. Nothing was heard from them and the only remains were 2 unopened life rafts.
My short visit reminded me of the bravery of this young crew.
