Hot springs

There are around 20 hot springs in the Tet valley and a few of them have been used to create thermal spas or outdoor pools. There are some that can only be found with local knowledge. I found one this afternoon which I had heard about but wasn't sure of its precise location. I followed a path through the melting snowfields and found the spring in a copse at 1300 metres. The waters bubble out of the ground and flow down the steep slope making pools at various points . The top pool is too hot to sit in but the lower pools are the temperature of bath water. I joined the handful of people who were there skinny dipping and enjoyed a pleasant soak.
