Who's a pretty boy then
We're out of lockdown today and non essential shops are now opening. High Street Kensington is heaving with shoppers so I headed to Hyde Park.
There's an urban myth that the Parakeets in west London escaped from a film set in the 1950's. It's more likely a breeding pair escaped from a domestic home. They are now a dominant non indigenous breed in out neck of the woods, as brazen as pigeons but much cleverer.
It was fun to spend some time with them, although I should have worn gloves.
Afterwards I sat inside the new branch of Ole & Steen in Notting Hill and had lunch for the first time since I can remember.
