Someone to watch over us

The West End was full of armed police officers this morning. Some of them female, reassuringly.

It hadn't escaped me that the current terrorist attack on London Bridge happened on Black Friday (a day of consumerism). Or that the 7/7 bombing happened the day after we won the 2012 Olympic bid.

So keeps your heads down on days of culture and commerce.
