Advent.

It looks like I have a lot of spare time on my hands,  which I haven't but I could not resist turning this sprig of Butcher's Broom (cut from a bush in the local park!) into a miniature Xmas tree.
The beginning of December marks the commencement of Advent which is when I might hear my favourite hymn - O come, O come, Emmanuel.  I could never understand why it is not often included in a Carol Service but it is traditionally not a Xmas carol but an Advent hymn.
