Time to go indoors

A well positioned passing place meant I could pull out of the way of this procession heading for their winter quarters.

I was very glad to be in the car - there's a lot of weight in these creatures, never mind the docile faces. Two men walked in front, each with a staff held horizontally, to block anyone with an idea to bolt up the road.
