We enjoyed the views in the sunshine while walking along quiet country lanes and saw only one man and two cyclists but many sheep and hundreds of geese flying to feast in the nearby fields.   I have often wondered why spheres are often concentrated on a very short stretch of power lines and think these must be bird deflectors perhaps to stop geese landing beside a nearby farm where grain was being loaded onto a lorry as we passed by.
