My planned route was disrupted by road works this morning. Still, they will be good when they are finished.

I listened to a podcast, describing "Midnight Regulations" which outgoing US Presidents tend to make just before they leave office. The narrator said that "Midnight Regulations are regulations made at the eleventh hour."
