Wood duck

Hard not to love a beautiful wood duck!   Seen in the wetlands in Union Bay by he UW Horticultural Center  where we had a lovely dry walk.   After reluctantly getting a new phone for H so his watch will work…the phone he had was one phone too old.   I do hate that about these electronics.   and he resisted for a long time. .  we’ll see…

That’s a female bufflehead I think swimming the other way.  And a good view of the female Wood duck leading the way in the extra as well as a general view of this little area…so close to a freeway… I confess I didn’t not see that heron until it was on the computer screen!
