Milestone

This stone looks like i has recently been renovated.  It seems an odd place to have a milestone as this is an insignificant, narrow lane running out of our village, although it does run south so I suppose if you were riding along here 200 years ago it may have been of some use! There is a group of people dedicated to preserving these local milestones and our historical heritage.
