The Drive Home
I drove in to work this morning, delayed by the frost on the windscreen and late. The hills were stunning. Covered in the same powder frost that annoyed me so much on the car and turning the usually velvety green hills the colour of pistachio ice cream.
I made the 9 o clock meeting and then had one of those days where you feel you have too many things to do . Frustrated at not having managed to get even a quick lunchtime blip I left work in ill humour at 5.20 wondering what blip worthy items lay at home.
Then I caught sight of the sunset in my rear view mirror, the sun racing behind the mountains. I abandoned the car on the verge ( as soon as safe to do so) and whipped the camera out. A few shots before the sun disappeared completely. There were an amazing number of plane trails about, all gold streaks. Totally cheered me up after my day. Thank blipfoto for that.
