A Tale of Three Cakes

Jamie had a commission to make a lemon drizzle cake for our friend Holly.   He's made them before using a ceramic, roughly loaf shaped dish but today he was trying out a new metal loaf tin so he had, yes HAD, to make a teat cake for us first.   It was a cracker, the best ever!    However, the next cake managed to overflow the paper lining and had to be 'rescued'.   Not satisfied with a less than perfect outcome, he set off on cake number three, reverting to the slightly larger ceramic dish.   As it happened, the misbehaved cake turned out fine ..... and Holly snapped up both that and the final offering!    A good day's work.    

Sschhh ..... don't tell anyone but I would have happily kept the naughty cake for us.   Jamie's cakes really are to die for :-)
