Event follow-up

My main priority between meetings today has been to thank everyone who helped make yesterday's event such a success. I hand-wrote messages in cards (blipped) to post to Bruce, Rachel and Katherine, then typed up emails for all the speakers and breakout session chairs. I also emailed a few others to thank them for their contributions, including all the delegates who participated in my own breakout session.

Once that job was done, the next task was to type up and email the weekly news for my research group. I usually distribute this early on Friday afternoons. It was somewhat later this week.

After Friday family Skype and supper we watched the first episode of the new series of The crown. I fear that it has a whiff of Spitting image about it, especially the portrayal of Mrs Thatcher.
