Thursday: Lights of Hope

You always know that Christmas is just around the corner when St Paul’s Hospital’s ‘Lights of Hope’ are lit.  It’s definitely a seasonal marker.

Today was the first day they were up and I got to see them in all their glory as K. is currently in hospital and they were up when I came out after visiting.  There’s no need to worry - she was in for some surgery that was scheduled so nothing unexpected.

I took her in this morning and was able to visit this evening.  She’s doing well but is a little groggy.  It was a good sign that she enjoyed the sausages and gravy that were for dinner.  I always suspected that there wouldn’t be much that came between K. and a sausage.

All being well, she should be home tomorrow.
