Long Wait

I had my appointment about my hand just after 1pm. After just about three hours the nurse said you still here...I was getting a bit worried I was forgotten as other people were in and out. A while later a young Doctor arrived and after a few questions and a look at my hand she went away for about 15 minutes. Then she arrived back with the Specialist.

The Specialist said told I am a complicated case...but he was going to get to the bottom of my trouble. The MRI was not clear and didn't show any nerves up. Said he was going to talk to someone who could do a better job than that one. Also he was worried the nerve pain maybe a result of something else happening in my body.. mostly the neck. (which has been sore for sometime and my GP told me to get a massage.. which I did and it got worse). I have a 13th rib that can press on nerves. He was amazed It hadn't been removed. He did lots of test on me and found I have a lot of nerve trouble in my arms as I can't hold them up long before they go numb.

He is going to organise a lot more tests including a MRI on my neck and other scans. Also nerve conduction studies plus Physio and a night splint. He said that I can see you are coping really well considering everything and had a positive outlook and would do all he could to find out and fix what ever I have wrong.

I was told young doctor was going to her thesis on my case and was explaining everything with her about my case. Also he is having a meeting on Monday with other Specialists and they were going to discuss my case. As he was leaving he gave me a big smile and said you sure are a tricky one... but we will sort you out as I don't want to see you in pain.
