We woke to beautiful blue skies and swapped my run and some final painting here for D for a walk. Tomorrow the temperatures are set to become much cooler with possible rain.

It was a good decision even though our planned and hoped for halfway coffee van wasn’t there today. Also we must have been either talking too much or distracted by something because we missed a turning on the way back which meant where we’d parked the car was rather further away. Not a big problem.

This windmill is in the grounds of a private house and has open days. Today wasn’t one but no-one called out to us as we entered the garden. My extra was just at the entrance. We’ve not noticed it before.

This afternoon we baked our Christmas cake. And before that I made (yet) another Victoria Sponge. Only I used different tins and it’s not looking so “fat”! Oh, I think the word is risen!
