Can't see the woods .....

Today's walk took me to the Black Spout Woods (again - I think I have been there most weeks this year). Most of the leaves have fallen revealing the structure of the wood and also leading me to look at the actual trunks in more detail. I love all the different textures, patterns and colours so here is the first in an occasional series. 

Today also saw my weekly Gaelic class - today we were focusing on places and I learnt that the Gaelic for nearby Aberfeldy is Obar Pheallaidh. Pitlochry is Baille Chloichridh. Stirling is rather strange looking and sounding (to me at least) Sruighlea; the origins of this are unclear.
