Views from the Tour d’Ai
I think looking toward the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau in the Bernese Oberland, was my favourite today. It was so clear up there no pollution from aéroplanes, and so many people, we counted 36 on the way down. Everyone is taking advantage of the Indian summer we are having, and getting out on the hill. My partners, Helen and Françoise in the mountains today, are smiling in the chimney that starts this walk, in extras. We had so many laughs as “older ladies” on the hill can have, whilst still appreciating the distant male chamois zooming about as the laid back females looked on.
Returned home to son and grandson who had come to visit, at a distance of course, so good to see them. Grandson is not playing football for the Young Boys at the moment, covid restrictions, so came with his dad to see the old folks. These fleeting visits are so appreciated even though hugs aren’t allowed!
Thanks for yesterday’s appreciation of the Lake Lioson too. I am so lucky to have so many great friends to walk with “at a distance” given the restrictions we have currently. Hope your weekend is going as well as possible.
