Another walk in the woods

My friend Susan came to pick me up (not literally) at 11 so we could go for a walk in the woods before meeting the others (puppy included) at our local gastro pub for lunch. We had a fine time putting the world to rights before lunch. Phin behaved pretty well considering it was his first visit to a restaurant. The staff made a huge fuss of him and supplied a water bowl and cuddles on demand.

Lunch over we walked back to the house as Miss PHL and her dad headed to a friend of Miss PHL’s house for a garden visit. Her friend is struggling a wee bit with lockdown and lack of a job so it was good they got to spend the afternoon together.

I enjoyed some quiet time and treated myself to a decadent afternoon bath before we had a zoom call at 6 with some old friends and then a catch up with our son and his girlfriend. Their puppy has been a wee monster this week and regressed to peeing very early in the morning again so they’ve had pretty disrupted sleep.

Thanks to Ingeborg for today’s abstract Thursday theme of shapes. After much deliberation I ended up with my Christmas baubles with a wee bit of faffing.

Extra is my breakfast which was enhanced by the addition of some leftover tahini cream from last nights pudding!
