Recovery

Dear Diary,

I had oral surgery yesterday that turned out to me much more extensive and difficult than we were hoping so today will be a day of rest and recovery.  This photo was taken outside my bedroom window.  It is the best I can do but I like the colors and pattern.  Luckily, pain is being kept in check and after nearly six hours, the bleeding has stopped and I might be able to eat something this morning.  Mushy food for at least a week.
