Group Hug?

Or an orgy?
When I first spotted this I thought it was some sort of growth on the eucalyptus but I gave it a nudge and it moved, ever so slightly. Seems like a bunch of caterpillars (or millipedes?) enjoying themselves.
I was looking for something for Wide Wednesday but thought this could do for Wild Wednesday instead. I thought that had to be something to do with nature but it appears it means anything wild. So I guess this is. Thanks Cailleach.
