MonoMonday: Profile
Today is Remembrance Day - 101 years since the end of WW1.
We had Photogroup and not only is our morning tea break at 11am but we meet right near the Cenotaph where the Remembrance Day service is held.
So we all went out a little early and were able to attend the ceremony.
I was also able to get a blip in keeping with MerrilHope's theme this week of profile.
Chantler63 and her husband, John, were guests at our meeting and Kathy gave a very interesting talk on abstract photography. It has never been a favourite of mine but now I will be looking with new eyes.
It was also John's birthday so we did the honours (see extra).
A "catastrophic" fire warning has been given for tomorrow for much of eastern NSW.
That means you are supposed to evacuate before any chance of fire. They are saying people should leave the Blue Mountains tonight. However with a large part of the state under the same threat I'm not sure just where you are supposed to go.
I can only assume it really applies if there is already a fire nearby or you live in a particularly risky spot, which many do.
It's hard to believe at the moment as the weather is calm and pleasant.
