Silhouetted Leading Lines

It was misty and still this morning, so JJ and I walked around the wood.  It's very squidgy underfoot and care was needed..  We stopped for a few minutes watching a vole or mouse darting in and out of some fallen logs, but it was too fast to get a picture, even if I'd known where it was going to appear from.

This dead tree has been just the same for years but I rather liked the selection of birds it had attracted this morning.
