Winging West

What a day!! It was great hearing the election being called before I left home, so could celebrate the news with W and the kids. It's such a huge relief. I don't kid myself that the next weeks will be easy, but how great to watch scenes of jubilation around the country. 

Flying worked out better than I had hoped and was really quite comfortable, with no one in the middle seats on Alaska Airlines. No one before or behind me, either. We flew into the sunset for about four years hours, a gaudy orange-red stripe along the horizon, until the blue finally overtook it. :-) Then just blackness out the window for another couple hours, and now I'm back in the wonderful Pacific Northwest. So great to see my mom and sister and stepdad again.
