Wild Horses

We woke up at 3:00am. Decided to hit the road before the predicted bad weather started coming in. The wind was really strong all day long. 

We took a different route home, taking us by Mono Lake and turning into the Inyo National Forest. It was around 8:00am. Interesting landscape. It looked like an ash field with new trees growing. A surreal feel to the area. (see extra)

Ten minutes later we came across these wild horses. I had to shoot through the window, as Bunker was in my lap and growling. If I had put the window down, I am sure his barking would have spooked them.

That was about the highlight of the day as there was a LOT of nothing until we got home around 3:00pm. 

We got the food out of the refrigerator, all our essentials in the house and collapsed on the couch.

Another learning trip....I am grateful for the beauty that we see as we travel.
