Chatham Island Spear Grass

I have to have some unusual or unexpected plants in my garden.

Aciphylla diefenbachii (Chatham Is Spear Grass) is one of them. I have 2 at the front and this one is starting to flower.

Unlike it's sharp (nasty if you come up against it) mainland cousin found in sub-alpine and alpine environments, this one has fine, soft, and feathery foliage.

Today's gratitude: For a break through neck exercise. Today at the first hint of a headache I did the exercise and haven't taken Panadol all day.
