Almost But Not Quite

It’s almost a complete calendar year since I saw my siblings and their families, a year since I saw my eldest son, daughter-in-law and granddaughters, a year since I travelled further than Bristol Airport.
Like a lot of people I find online meetings ok but they will not ever take the place of sitting down over a coffee or a pint and catching up.

Today was another rugby day, three international matches one after the other but more than the rugby is the company, the laughter and the fun.
During the middle match the news of the impending lockdown filtered through, there was a sort of fatalistic attitude towards it.
