Crocodile

We have a couple of crocodiles that live in the mangrove estuary next to El Manglar Restaurant on Playa La Ropa, but they pale in comparison to those in the crocodile preserve next to Playa Linda in Ixtapa. We happened by there today at feeding time while showing our guests some of the sights before they head home tomorrow. I counted over two dozen crocodiles from our spot on the observation platform. Most were patiently waiting their turn at the fish carcasses on the beach, but this specimen was lurking in the water away from all the action. I would much prefer to have been at eye level taking this shot, but no photograph is worth losing an arm or leg to a hungry croc.
