Old Man's Beard

Another cold morning but not quite as frosty as yesterday.
Despite a terrible night without much sleep (its an age thing!) it was far too glorious not to go out with Kipsie again for another ramble with our cameras.

We live in adjoining villages so I felt it well within the new lockdown rules to meet up for a socially distanced walk.

K often walks the banks of the River Teign and almost always sees the flash of a kingfisher. Today was no different and we had the briefest of glimpses as a bird shot up the river on 3 occasions.

We did a circular route through woodland and fields talking about all the current problems in the world. We also spent a great deal of time marvelling at the berries, leaves and fungi to counter balance the depression we both feel about society.
Most importantly we laughed - a lot.

A tonic that will be taken on numerous occasions throughout the coming weeks 

This old man's beard, of which there seems to be huge quantities this year, caught my eye in the early light.
