Closing the gates

Another dark & dismal day......windy during the night again. We were in bed early last night, I woke up at 2.23......tossed and turned until 4, got up to shut the ensuite window, the wind was whistling through the vent.

We didnt get up until after 9...... had breakfast, then decided to pop into town to get a newspaper and a take out coffee, plus we needed some fresh bread. Ended up drinking our coffees in Costa as it was pretty quiet, although town itself was busy....we wore our masks whilst walking around.

Hub drove home whilst I walked.....only 5k steps but better than nothing. This little cottage is on our top road, its covered in Virginia Creeper.....but the wind has blown off most of the autumn colours, just a few leaves clinging on! I left the gate in the shot as a symbol of our impending lockdown....the right thing sadly :-/

Hubs team have had another good win, although it was a little edgy towards the end. Mt team on in a little while....hoping for a better performance from us too!

Roasted duck legs for dinner this evening.
Its currently 3.50pm, already dark enough to warrant putting the lamps on :-(

Watched Strictly last night, enjoyed it......I think its a taxi for Ms Smith ;-)
