Sleeping tree

How wonderful to feel and see some sunshine today - we were even able to walk out with only light hoodies on for a trip to the shops.

The sun inspired me to grab the 'proper' camera, although only to go as far as the back garden.

Our little baby Rowan tree (its only 3 years old) does look an awful lot like a dead stick shoved in the ground, but if you look closely you can see the little buds waiting for spring.

I'm sure one day it will overtake its namesake (eldest), but for now he has nothing to fear.
