Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Windy!

A windy morning, but at least it swept the rain clouds away. It was fine by midday when Elizabeth took Archie out, and stayed blustery and sunny for the afternoon.

I went cycling. And I didn’t fall off! Mainly because it was only on my exercise bike, which has been hidden in the cupboard. It folds away really well - definitely my best rubbish bin find! Anyway, I’ve started using it again, which must be good for me. And I put it behind the door, lest it spoil the view into the newly revamped ‘guest bedroom’. With no guests for the forseeable future...

I was very excited today, because the final Six Nations Rugby matches will be played. ‘Super Saturday’ - with three matches in one day! (Update: Scotland beat Wales! IN Wales!!) BUT... we’re going out tonight (that sounds strange...) I will record half of the England game, and the Ireland game.

We’re just going across the road to Hazel, our bubble dweller. And we have been told it will be another sushi night. Excellent! And, if it’s anything like the last sushi night we had (here), it’ll be a late night.

Sad news about the death of Sean Connery. As a young boy, he delivered milk round the streets where my grandparents lived - My very tenuous claim to fame...

Here’s a very grubby Archie on their blustery walk. (He comes home clean).
