Itchy coo Park ....
Another day of cattle work .
Moved the Hereford bulling heifers to another field then added the Angus x Saler heifers plus the Angus bull in beside them.
Hopefully that’s them in there until they are housed .
Nipped down the road at lunch time to the farm we have baled straw at for the last 35 odd years. They are having an online farm sale as the estate has sold the farm to developers for housing. Today was the socially distant viewing of all the lots then you bid on line on Monday. Certainly different from a normal farm sale auction.
An afternoon of various other jobs . It was dry for a while then a heavy downpour for a while . Think we have had enough rain this month .
Lifted one of the twin calves I had here and took it next door to twin on to the stabiliser cow that had the bad calving on Wednesday. I didn’t think she would ever get up again and would be a bullet job, but surprisingly she got up on her feet yesterday so we will give her the chance and see what happens. Fingers crossed.
This heifer obviously had an itch in a hard to reach spot as she was having a good scratch on a straining post !
