Today's the day …………………….. to be behind time

I haven't quite got used to the speed at which the sun sets and the daylight disappears these days, since the clocks went back.

It's no good setting off on a walk at four o'clock in the afternoon and expecting the light to fit in with your plans.  I was only half way round the loop that starts off following the River Dee as it meanders towards Kirkcudbright, when I took this.  Everything took on a rosy glow for five minutes or so - and then it was all gone.

And what's more, it's a sobering thought that things are going to get earlier and darker - before we're out the other side again ……………………... !
