Patience

Actually, the framing in the thumbnail looks rather nice. A bit more graphic than when full size. But I do like the ambiguity caused by the reflection of the log above, out of shot. I think that's what drew me to the scene, although afterwards I saw the vegetation under the water, some in shadow, others in light and found that interesting.

In fact, I cropped in a touch to make the image more about the reflection. It took a fair amount of waiting for just the right moment when the breeze dropped to get the water still enough. The reflection is still a little soft, but given the light level, a faster shutter would have increased iso introducing more noise. I chose the rarely used Classic Chrome profile for this one, which seemed to aid the graphic nature of the image.
