Less rain than forecast

On the beach before breakfast it was calm and dry. Later we went to our excellent independent bookshop on Portobello High St. After lunch it did rain gently but by then we had lit the wood burning stove for the first time this winter. We caught up with old friends on a video link and tried to read between the lines of the new Covid levels that we think mean we should not leave the Lothians and not have any family travelling north either.
